On 18th June 2024, the Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited (“HKEX”) announced, starting from 23rd September 2024 (“Effective Date”) Hong Kong’s securities and derivatives markets will remain regular operation during “Severe Weather”. Severe Weather means an issuance of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning by the Hong Kong Observatory, or an announcement of "Extreme Conditions" by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, could lead to delayed market opening or suspension of trading, clearing and settlement services.
Starting from the effective date, Agricultural Bank of China Limited Hong Kong Branch (“the Branch”) will provide the below services under Severe Weather:
1. Fund Transfer (will be provided through the channel of banking app and online banking)
2. Corporate Actions
3. Stocks Settlement
4. Stocks Trade (will be provided through the channel of banking app and phone banking)
The branch will be based on the manpower or other unpredictable factors to provide limited service.
Except for the above-mentioned services, the Branch office will not be opened for business under Severe Weather, thus in-branch services will be unavailable for customers at that moment.
